NASA has always been an entity that has given the highest priority to sharing all the images and videos achieved with the rest of humanity, and of course an iPhone application is essential in this mission since it achieves a range ofe millions of people In a simple way. Is it worth taking a tour of the app from time to time?
Wonderful content
On a personal level, as an admirer of everything related to space and having grown up with the teachings of Carl Sagan, obviously the application of NASA it is essential on my iPhone. Thousands of wonderful images (right now they offer more than 15000) in high definition a couple of taps away, and you can even choose the source of them between three options: NASA IOTD (Image Of The Day), APOD and other alternative sources of pictures.
In addition to the static content, NASA also gives us access to all kinds of videos related to space missions. That is why we can find Jupiter videos, mini-documentaries explaining NASA processes, technical explanations of space behavior and many other things in the more than 12000 videos offered by the North American space agency.
The rest of the sections should also be mentioned, since they could be of interest for certain users: the news to be up to date, tweets from the official account, TV & Radio with the official channels and a special section for missions.
Improvable
Although the content of the application is flawless and invaluable, the application is quite improvable. If they tell us that it has not been updated since 2011 we could believe it, because at the design and usability level we are facing a bad level application for the budgets handled by NASA.

We find it with a horrible gray and a list of options that have been set in five minutes by the developer on duty, without making a minimum effort to give it some formatting and logic. It is certainly incomprehensible that in 2016 the application looks like this, but luckily they simply have to dedicate some time and effort to get it ready.
The most important thing, which is the content, they already have it. At a visual level The application is wonderful and that is why it is still installed on all my Apple devices. In addition, the application is completely free and we are not charged at any time for taking any action, something that is always appreciated even if the app comes from an organization as powerful as NASA.
