One of the functions that Apple presented in the last WWDC 2021 within the new features of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, and that has passed without pain or glory among users, It is the support that developers have to create events for their applications.
This functionality will begin to be available as of Wednesday October 27 And from now on, developers who want to start using it can now schedule their events through App Store Connect.
Apple has made this announcement through the website that Apple makes available to the developer community. Events within the App Store will allow developers promote competitions, live broadcasts, movie premieres, special events… For users who have not yet done so, download and try the application.
Starting next week, your in-app events can be discovered directly on the App Store, giving you a whole new way to display your events and expand your reach. Now you can create events from the app in App Store Connect and schedule them to appear in the App Store. These timely events, such as game competitions, movie premieres, and live-streamed experiences, can encourage people to try your app, provide existing users with new ways to enjoy your app, and give previous users reasons to come back. Events will appear in the App Store on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 starting October 27, 2021
The events in the application will be shown in the event cards in the App Store that includes images or video, the name of the event and a brief description.
Only on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15
Apple tested this functionality last august in the betas of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, to later eliminate it. These cards will only be available in the fifteenth version of iOS and iPadOS and will not be accessible from previous versions.
