Lock screen and customization
The iOS lock screen has always been Comanche territory. Since the arrival of iOS 7, it has barely changed, the clock with a font and an immovable design has been shown as frozen in time for years, but the time has come. Far from what we could imagine Apple has decided to create a customizable lock screen, in true Apple Watch style.

In this way and among other things, we will be able to modify the font and color of the numbers that show the time, and we are not kidding. Such is the level of detail of the new block screen that we could even adjust the clock to be displayed in background behind the content of the screensaver… What Apple is this and what have they done with the Apple we know?
We can insert a series of small "buttons" or "widgets" within the lock screen, integrated with the color and design that we have established for it and that will show information related to our physical activity, time or the performance of certain applications. Likewise, Apple will release the API corresponding so that developers can exploit this new lock screen to the fullest, as happened with the Widgets.
Live text for video and a new dictation
The next improvement corresponds to LiveText, or rather the text recognition option included in our iPhone. Until now, we could only use this tool through the camera and ultimately on photos stored in the Photos app, however, now we can perform text recognition live and through the video camera, a function that will undoubtedly make the most of the capabilities of our iPhone's processor.
Similarly, live text and its API will be released by Apple so that it can be used in any application, Regardless of whether it's from Apple or not.
Along with these improvements, Apple has added a new user interface for Dictation, the function that allows us to speak to our iPhone and write for us, because time is money. Improvements to Maps and iCloud Photos
Maps, for the moment, is still quite far from Google Maps in terms of information and possibilities, however, Apple continues to work on offering an interesting alternative to its users. So much so that improvements have been observed at the graphic level, as well as the possibility of adding stops. The Home app always has a bit of a niche for innovation, especially considering Apple's strong competition in this space from Amazon Alexa and Google Home. In this point, Apple says it has joined Matter, a standardized home automation system that will arrive at the end of this year and that will bring together devices from Google, Amazon and of course Apple.
Casa's "page" system now gives way to a "timeline" system in which we will see all our switches without leaving the same screen, so it will become more intuitive.
For its part, CarPlay is one of the great shows of WWDC2022, and it is undergoing an almost complete renovation. In this way, the Cupertino company has collaborated with more than a dozen mobile phone manufacturers so that the CarPlay interface can be displayed across all screens included in our vehicles, creating an unparalleled sense of homogeneity.
For that, the iPhone and the car will be synchronized in real time to show us information related to driving, vehicle settings and even the speedometer, that we can customize within the parameters of Apple CarPlay. Without the need to use the graphical interface of the car, we will be able to adjust the temperature and other elements. The first models will arrive at the end of the year by Mercedes, Audi, Renault, Volvo and other brands.
