Today there is no medium-sized bank that does not have an iPhone application, but not all banking apps They live up to what they should be. EVO Banco inherits from NovaGalicia Banco not only the structure and employees, but also practically the entire old application with some minor changes.
The design
We cannot forget that design is still subjective and to the taste of each person, so I am going to give my opinion from my point of view and I do not want or intend to impose opinions, only to explain them. From my point of view the design of the application is too overloaded, with too many textures looking for a three-dimensional effect and with the buttons of the bottom menu too big; in this case it would have been much better to opt for smaller illustrations with text, but the good news is that changing it will not require much effort.
Another thing that I did not like too much is the way the monthly statement and movements. Each entry takes up too much space and could be much better laid out to display more information on the screen, perhaps even the complete information that we get by pressing the more information button. The torn paper aesthetic is not too attractive to me either, in fact I think that a simple change of that zigzag for some straight lines would improve the app a lot.
Functionality
If the design is good but the app does not fulfill its function, then the app is useless. If the design is not good but the app if it fulfills its function, we can be happy, and this is the case. The application allows us to consult all the movements, order transfers, execute transfers between accounts, see virtual correspondence or review our debit and credit cards in a few seconds.
Other extras that the app carries is the possibility of recharging mobile phones, sending money through HalCash and even paying and managing the receipts that we have domiciled, all without having to touch a computer and from the mobile application itself.
It is not the best application of a bank that I have used, but seeing what is out there it cannot be said that it is the worst either. I hope they continue to refine and evolve it, as it has many things that can be improved. People nowadays move the money from one bank to another with great ease, and although an app is not decisive to do so, I am sure that a client happy with the app is much better than one who is not.
