Reserve Strap, the battery strap for Apple Watch, cancels your shipments

Since the arrival of the Apple Watch on the market, even before its launch, many were the speculations related to that mysterious connection that is in the hole where the different straps are hooked. At the moment Apple has not made any movement in this regard and so far all those who have tried to make use of that connection, the only thing they have obtained is silence from Apple. But not only silence, but on other occasions they have achieved that the designs prepared to make use of this connection will be unusable when Apple blocks that connection. The last example can be seen with the straps that offer us extra battery for the Apple Watch, Reserve Strap.

About a year ago, we introduced you to the Reverse Strap battery straps, which offered us a simple and convenient way to recharge our device for those days or times when we cannot connect our Apple Watch to any outlet. The Reverse Strap, integrates inside the strap a battery that recharge the Apple Watch using the hidden connection on one of the sides of the device, where we insert the straps that we want to use with our Apple Watch.

But apparently after the release of watchOS 2.0.1 and later versions Apple has stopped allowing Reserve Straps to allow charging of the device, for a more than obvious reason. Apple does not want any third-party manufacturer to make use of that hidden connection until they launch the compatible accessories program similar to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch MFI. This does not mean the end of this bracelet, as long as you have not updated your device to watchOS 2.0.1 but it may be the beginning of the end, since if Apple does not launch this program soon, the majority of potential Reserve Strap buyers will cancel your order.
