One of the possible problems that our devices such as the Apple Watch face today is related to shocks, screen breaks, water ingress and dirt or dust. On the subject of blows or breakages, little or nothing can be investigated since if it breaks due to a blow there is nothing to say, but what happens if water or dirt such as dust enters? How is the resistance of these new Apple Watch Series 7 to water and dust?
Today we share a video in which Cnet tests the resistance of this new model of Apple Watch Series 7. Of course Apple put a lot of emphasis on warning the hardness of the watch against water and dust, so Chhis Parker, puts this resistance to the test and shows it in an interesting video on the YouTube channel.
In the video you can see a container which serves to give pressure and reaches the 70 psi for 30 minutes and the watch holds perfectly. For the dust test, do something similar by leaving the watch in a pot of flour the device with a powerful pressure to check the resistance to dust. The Series 7 passes both tests perfectly.
The Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 3 have a water resistance rating of 50 meters certified by the ISO 22810: 2010 standard. That is why they can be used for shallow water activities, such as swimming in a pool or in the sea. However, they should not be used for scuba diving, water skiing, high speed water activities or deep dives.
The Apple website warns of the limits in water resistance of its Apple Watch and we also have to take into account that the longer the watch is, the more likely they are to lose these resistance benefits. Anyway the video is really interesting for see how long the new watch can hold signature.
