As we announced a few minutes ago, a new update of the Facebook application for iPhone and iPad is now available that already reaches its version 6.0. Its novelties are mainly focused on offering the user new ways to chat similar to the one offered by Facebook Home, in addition, a clearer design has been created for the news section in which the content is the main protagonist.
The version for iPhone and iPad share new sections such as Music, Photos and Games. As well ChatHeads functionality added that allows access to open chats from anywhere in the application by simply clicking on the bubbles that show the users' avatar.
The iPhone version also offers an exclusive sticker collection with which we can animate the messages we send and express moods.
Although It does not seem that we will be able to enjoy Facebook Home in the short term, the team of the social network will try to bring some of its features to its application for the iPhone and iPad. my first impression after updating when I open the application the news never loaded me, I had to restart the application to load everything, but these are "normal" bugs with the first editions after the change, in the news section already when there is a quantity considerable amount of news loaded opening a photo becomes very slow, this is because it still consumes a lot of ram, but it will never be solved since facebook has very diverse content, contrary to twitter which are letters including links so it is faster, in general this update was to wash the face and want to look more like facebook home, it does not have that big change the user would believe when it goes from 5.x to 6.0

If you look for the application in iTunes, in the description you will realize that they say (soon available to all), apparently they have not yet included the bubbles or the stickers.

I barely knew about the new version and I have everything active on the iPhone 4s (iOS 6.1.3). It's weird because on my iPad 2 (iOS 6.1.3) the option for stockers doesn't appear.
Also, I have friends who have the 3Gs and the 4 asecas and they don't have the option either. I can't figure out why this is. I don't think those teams can't handle the new features.
