Every time Apple releases news in its operating system for mobile devices, it seems that Large companies take the longest to add these new features to your applications. Without going any further, a few days ago Google added 3D Touch support for its Chrome browser, Microsoft did the same yesterday with Outlook and Facebook has just updated its messaging application adding shortcuts to our contacts, to be able to communicate directly without having to enter the application and have to search for it. On the other hand, smaller developers always seem to be the first to add the new functions that Apple adds to iOS in each update.

Yesterday, Facebook updated its Messenger messaging application adding the 3D Touch function to be able to send messages directly without having to navigate the app. A very interesting function for all those users of this messaging application, which are many, about 900 million.

Currently both WhatsApp and Messenger are the most used applications around the world to keep in touch with our friends and acquaintances, while the rest of applications such as LINE, WeChat, Viber are falling in users except Telegram, which each month adds more millions of users But at the moment it is very difficult to try to stand up to the almighty WhatsApp.

With this new update, Facebook Messenger offers us the following news:

  • 3D Touch support on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus to send messages directly from the home screen.
  • We can send messages to anyone on Messenger without the need for them to be our friend on Facebook. This function is intended for users to SPAM like hell, if we are not going to be able to block who we want to receive messages from.
