Facebook will show the posts of our friends and family first

Facebook Office

The social network Facebook has always been known for doing whatever it wants. Thanks to their privileged position, the guys at Mark Zuckerberg do what they want considering that there is no other platform that can stand up to it. In recent years, Facebook is forcing us to install new apps to perform the same functions that you did previously from the main application. One of the ones that bothered users the most was Messenger, the platform's instant messaging application with more than 900 million users.

But it has not only forced us to install applications but also does what it wants with the publications that appear on our wall. Just over a year ago, the company altered the operating algorithm that is responsible for displaying the posts of the people we follow on our wall to show what Facebook thinks is most interesting for us, without ever taking into account that we may prefer to see the publications of our friends and family. Another modification that was not to the liking of the users of the platform, who again had to accept it if they wanted to continue using it.

But it seems that the company has changed its mind, or is seeing that the platform is no longer attracting new users and within a few weeks will modify the algorithm so that the publications of our friends and family are shown first rather than the information that the Facebook algorithm thinks is most interesting to us.

According to Facebook VP Adam Mosseri:

We are going to start bringing the posts closer to users by placing them at the beginning of the feed, so that we do not lose any publication from our friends and family, who really are the most important to us.
