When Apple introduced the Apple Watch in late 2014, it made it clear early on that the device would look good regardless of its wearer. For this they also presented a lot of straps (bands), from the sports to the Edition model, and the spheres. The sphere that attracted the most attention, for good and for bad, was Mickey Mouse, although there are many others available as well. But what if among all these "faces" we do not find any that we like? Well, recently there is already an application available for customize these spheres called Facer.
Facer has long been available on Android Wear, but not on the watchOS App Store. The Apple Watch version has some options that are not available on Android, such as integration with Instagram and Tumblr that allows you to use an option in which the images are changed from time to time from both services. There are also some spheres in flash that introduce an interactive way to learn with the Apple Watch, such as showing new languages, constellations or a Periodic Table.
Facer, customize the face of your Apple Watch
But what is perhaps more interesting is that there is possibility to create our own spheres using the web tool available at facer.io/creator. The main idea is that each user can use a sphere with the exact design for him and not have to settle for what the Apple Watch offers us, which will also serve to stand out from the rest.
It is important to mention that Facer does not add spheres to the Apple Watch, but rather that use iPhone photo album to add your own backgrounds and create the mentioned effects. This is not the same as in Android, but we already know that Apple usually puts certain restrictions on its devices, and more so in the first versions, to ensure that everything meets a minimum of performance and security.
Facer is a free application, but it has some integrated shopping that will allow us to unlock functions and some brands such as Garfield, Popeye and Betty Boop. If you use it, do not hesitate to leave in the comments what you think of Facer, especially if you think the free version is worth it or if it is better to make in-app purchases.
