In the last hours a lot has been said about the freedom of expression in Spain, a country in which it is supposed that there should be no problem with expressing oneself freely but that from time to time gives us surprises of acts against that freedom that we are all supposed to have. Without going much into personal opinions, today we bring you the curious case of Fariña, a book by Nacho Carretero who has just been judicially kidnapped.
But the most curious thing, without a doubt, has been the response that many internet users have had regarding the news of the possible withdrawal of the book by court order, and it has been a barrage of digital purchases that have taken Fariña to the top ten of the main digital book stores. And if, Fariña is the best-selling book in the iBooks Store. After the jump we give you all the details of this curious sales case ...
You already know that Bad publicity is good publicityYou do not need anything more than to prohibit something so that the demand grows exponentially, and this is what has happened with Fariña. It must be said that the kidnapping is precautionary, and it will not materialize until José Alfredo Bea Gondar, former mayor of O Grove, who has denounced that his right to honor is violated in Fariña, deposits 10000 euros, but the truth is that the step has been taken and the order of the judge is clear. And in response to this precautionary kidnapping, as you can see in the previous image, Fariña is the best-selling book in the iBooks Store (€ 7,99), something that is happening in most digital book stores.
I think it is disproportionate to kidnap Fariña for capturing judicially proven facts in 3 lines of the book. In any case, whoever is suing is within their rights and it is a precautionary measure, so hopefully it will be resolved soon. Thank you very much for your strong support. Really.

Fariña reviews the history of drug trafficking in Galicia, a story that can (and has) upset many people, but as its author, Nacho Carretero says, only talks about information verified and judicially proven. A sad case that in the end shows social power, Fariña is the best-selling book on all digital platforms, all physical units are being sold out, and units are being resold at exorbitant prices. We will see where all this is ...
