FiLMiC multi-camera recording arrives with the new DoubleTake app

We have already talked to you on many occasions about the possibilities in terms of photo and video of the iPhone, all thanks to the incredible cameras that the device has, and obviously thanks to the catalog of applications that we have available in the App Store. And if there is an app with which to exploit all the possibilities that the iPhone offers us in terms of video recording, this is FiLMiC. And precisely during the last Apple Keynote, its developers showed us the possibility of using all the cameras on our iPhone to record video at the same time. Now, they have just launched DoubleTake, FiLMiC's multi-camera app.

It has to be said that DoubleTake is not what we were promised but it is close to being it ... And it is that reading the update notes of FiLMiC Pro, the video recording app, they make it clear that DoubleTake is a "Demo" app so that we can see what they will finally incorporate into FiLMiC Pro, multi-camera recording thanks to the different cameras that the iPhone incorporates. Something very useful since as we could see in Keynote, we will have the possibility to record with the 4 cameras of our device simultaneously, something very useful to record interview formats, or to get a general shot and a main shot in the same recording.

DoubleTake allows us to choose 2 simultaneous cameras and record with them at the same time, that is, a multi-camera recording. In the recording screen we can see the image of the two cameras but then tWe will end up two independent videos that we can use at will with any video editing app. An app that expands the possibilities of our devices since until now this possibility did not exist, there were ways to make multi-camera recordings with the front camera and a rear camera but nothing similar to what DoubleTake offers. DoubleTake is a completely free app but I suppose that what they showed in Keynote, the possibility of recording with all the cameras simultaneously, will only come to FiLMiC Pro and this one is paid ...

Good afternoon, to emphasize that I made a video with both cameras and I managed to save it on the film of my iPhone and I could reproduce it recorded with the front and rear camera.
    All the best
