Apple has updated Find My iPhone to provide indications to get to the lost or stolen device. If you can't find your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use another device iOS for find and protect your data. By installing this free app on another iOS device, opening it, and logging in with your Apple ID.
Find My iPhone will help you locate your lost device on a map, play a sound on it, show a message to inform the owner, lock the device remotely, or erase all data from it for privacy.
If the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch you want to locate has installed iOS 6, Find My iPhone also includes the loss mode, which locks the device with a 4-digit passcode, and can also display a contact phone number right on the lock screen. In this loss mode, the device will keep track of where you have been and display your location history. Find My iPhone must be activated in the settings iCloud on the device to function.
The characteristics are:
• Locate your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or on a map.
• Show a personalized message on the screen.
• Play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if the device is in silent mode).
• Lock the device remotely.
• Remotely wipe your device to erase your personal data.
• Loss Mode (iOS 6 or later).

What's new in version 2.0.1 are:
• Indications to get to the location of the iOS device (6 or later).
• Play sound, Loss Mode, and the Clear buttons appear separately from the map view.
