Fintonic helps you manage your personal finances

Fintonic

Applications to control household expenses are in fashion. In the App Store there are countless applications available, some of which get very high scores in the reviews of specialized blogs. Despite all this, I have never seen the utility of this type of application in which you have to enter your expenses manually, probably because I do not see myself capable of it. Yet the other day I ran into Fintonic, an application that collects all your income and expenses automatically, and I was encouraged to try it.

It was all due to a request from a listener to our podcast, who asked us to analyze the application and, above all, to give our opinion about one of its fundamental characteristics: accessing your bank accounts and collect all your data. Indeed, with Fintonic you don't have to worry about entering your income or expenses, because it accesses your accounts and does it for you. Once the initial distrust was overcome and after reading a lot about the subject, I decided to try it, and in general I have to say that my degree of satisfaction is high.

Security before everything

Obviously the first thing you think about is that you are not going to give the passwords to your bank accounts to an application. First of all I looked for information available on the application's website and on other pages where it was analyzed. At all times it is guaranteed that security is maximum and that they can only access your data, without having access to other operations. Actually when we want to do an operation we must always enter a signature or use a code card and confirm by SMS, so it really should not be a problem. But obviously you have to give a vote of confidence to the application, and that will depend on each one.

All the information in your hand

Security issues aside the app is really good. The information it offers you is exceptional. Accustomed to the (bad) official bank applications, being able to see all the information grouped into types of expenditure, with statistics, average expenses, and forecasts is really impressive and you realize how you spend your money, the first step to I can save something. Notification systems, both mobile and email, notify you when a movement occurs. But what has really surprised me is its search system. Anyone who has ever had to search for a position will have realized how poorly designed the web pages of banks are, and especially mobile applications.

The application is completed with suggestions about how you can save: if you have a lot of bank commissions it gives you advice on how to save, or if you have paid a lot for something it suggests alternatives. I suppose that these reports will be what Fintonic bases its business on, because on the other hand the application is completely free, with no in-app purchases and without advertising.

Conclusion

If giving up your bank details is not an inconvenience for you, then Fintonic is your application. The information it offers could not be more complete or better presented., and it really is a great help not only to control your expenses without even considering possible savings methods.

I prefer to keep my accounts with MoneyWiz and that they do not give me everything, with synchronization in the cloud of all devices from mac to iphone and ipad, a marvel.

Fintonic seems amazing to me. I have been using the application for a century (even when it was only web), and it is the most complete on the market without a doubt. I do need them to give me everything. Done, I have several accounts open and with the Fintonic notices I have already avoided several overdrafts (it tells you when insurance is passed to you, for example, and if you don't have money in the account, enter and avoid stay in the red), a duplicate receipt for the home alarm and, when I saw how much I was paying in commissions per year, I went to the bank with the app and was able to get rid of two card maintenance…. Today this is only done fintonic; and free friends.
