Yesterday the Cupertino company released a firmware update for AirPods users. In this case it is version 3E751 and in it it seems that some changes and improvements in their stability, security and performance are added.
As usual in these updates, the Cupertino company does not specify in detail what this update consists of, but it is assumed that it is related to the previously mentioned improvements. Remember that This new version of software for AirPods installs automatically.
Users do not have to do anything to install this new version of firmware on our AirPods, we simply have to have them connected to our iPhone and they will automatically update themselves. In the case you want force install this new firmware you can perform the following steps:
- We leave the AirPods inside the charging box
- We connect the Lightning charging cable and that's it
With this procedure we will be able to force the firmware update in some way if it has not been installed. If what you want is to know the version that your Airpods have installed, we simply have to follow the following steps:
- Make sure you have the AirPods connected to the iPhone or iPad
- Open the Settings app
- Choose the option, General
- Enter the section, Information
- Click on the text, AirPods or on the name you have
With these steps you can check the version that your AirPods have installed By an easy and fast way.
One of the improvements that I have been able to verify is that on my iPhone 12 pro max the sound was clicking, and now it sounds very good, we seem to have corrected some incompatibility with the iPhone 12

L'amélioration majeure that j'ai pu constater suite à la nouvelle mise à jour 3E751 d 'avril 2021 concerning the AirPods resides in the notable diminution du son "CLIC" émis par le clavier lors de la saisie de texte à tout leveau de volume . Je vous propose pour cela de mettre en lumière dès à present ma trouvaille en mettant are from you AirPods in MUET mode thanks to an appui proloné sur la touche de volume moins (-), et votre clavier will be par magie silencieux. Merci APPLE c'était insupportable et cette mise à jour est la welcome 😉
