FitPort, the first app to be integrated into Health

FitPort

Starting the applications that interact with Health it hasn't been brilliant, The release of iOS 8 was expected to cause a flood of app reviews and new ones to take advantage of this functionality.

The reality has been very different and it is now that we find FitPort, which is a dashboard showing the statistics of your performance physical in a simplified way.

This dashboard allows a pursuit daily or weekly of your physical activity, establishing objectives and supervising the progress thereof. This app calculates steps and distance but only works with iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus, but it also allows manual data entry for other devices or days that you have not been able to record.

La integration with Health allows you to safely store your data:

  • Steps.
  • Distance traveled in Walk or Run mode.
  • Calories
  • Weight.
  • Body fat percentage.

When opening the application, the user will be asked to allow access to health data, this allows you to be very selective about the applications that use your Health data. Users have to explicitly enable read and write capabilities for all types of health data that the application wants to integrate.

The HealthKit applications were supposed to return to the App Store with iOS 8.0.1, but taking into account the errors it has presented, it has had to wait for 8.0.2, so that Apple finally allows the HealthKit applications in the the store.

But I don't understand very well. Does this application serve as a health data source or does it only show the same as health but in a different way?

The same thing happens to me. It does not measure my distance by bike or calculate calories expended. I see it a chorrá
