We continue to modify our lock screen, and today we can finally talk about a Cydia tweak that was announced to us a long time ago and that many of us were looking forward to: Forecast. This tweak, developed by David Ashman, the creator of Lockinfo among others, brings the weather forecast to our Lockscreen, with Animated wallpapers that change depending on the time of day and the weather. It also gives us access to a second page on the same lock screen with the prediction for the next hours and days.
Forecast is completely free for those who have bought it before, and is priced at $ 0,99 for first-time buyers. Despite having been completely renovated, its developer has not wanted to charge again for it, a good example for many others, and gives it a fairly reasonable price in my opinion. Forecast creates a configuration menu within the System Settings, where you can configure the information you want to show, being able to choose the current state of the weather, the prediction, both or neither. You can also configure if you want to see the background over time on the lock screen and / or on the springboard, as well as if you want it animated or not.
If you have activated the information about the next days, slide your finger on the lock screen from right to left and you can access the weather forecast. Where do you get the information from? Very simple, nothing to modify files using iFile, far from it. It will take the data of the first location that you have included in the native Weather application of iOS. If it is the current location, it will change depending on where you are, if it is a fixed city, it will always show the same.
By the way, to finish finishing off the look of the lock screen, I recommend you install Subtlelock In addition to Forecast, the screen will remain as you see in the screenshots.

Neither Forecast, which does not update, nor ForecastD are currently worth nothing. This at least does update and you can configure the app to your liking by editing the file System> Library> LockCydgets> iOS 7 LockScreen Weather.cydget> script ”selecting the file“ config.js

Well, yes, I do not understand how they publish Tweaks in Cydia without testing them thoroughly, and on top of payment !, Forecast gives Safe mode problems and does not update the time correctly. That without shame! I sent an email to the developer (David Ashman), at the moment with no response.
The tweak does not trigger Safe Mode. It must be an App with which it has a conflict, because it has not done it to me even once.
As for updates, YES that updates. What I don't know (and I have asked the developer) is how often he updates and how he does it. But update.

I have an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 4S and if I have the location set in the Weather App, it does a Safe mode on both of them without the possibility of returning to normal mode. To solve the problem of Safe mode with Forecast you have to deactivate the location in the Weather App, Forecast will take the first city that you have added in manual mode. I have also noticed that the battery lasts less, I think it is normal, think that every time you turn on the iPhone the animation is working. Try a full day by deactivating the animation to see if it improves autonomy.
