The Game Center app could disappear in iOS 10

Goodbye, Game center

It has been rumored for some time that Apple would remove the application Game Center of iOS. But make no mistake, this does not mean that when they do, we can no longer access it. The only thing that will happen is that we will not have another application that could bother us on the iOS home screen. Apple's idea is that Game Center can be accessed from all compatible games, something that you have surely already seen from an existing title today.

As you all know, yesterday he showed up iOS 10, an operating system that improves on what they already presented last year, that is, a system that had small details as its strongest points. In the first beta, available since yesterday, the Game Center application does not appear, although it would not be the first time that Tim Cook and company introduce a change to reverse a beta later.

Game Center disappears from springboard in iOS 10

Apple has not added the Game Center application among which they can be removed. What they have done is publish a point in the iOS 10 release notes that reveals that developers will have to implement the interface in their games if they use gamekit, that is, if you want it to be compatible with Game Center:

The Game Center application has been removed. If your game includes GameKit features, you also need to implement the behavioral interface necessary for the user to see these features. For example, if your game supports bookmarking, it should present a GKGameCenterViewController object or read the data directly from Game Center to implement a custom user interface.

Game Center came to iOS in 2010 as one of the novelties of the App Store, and it did so with the skeumorphism that was removed in iOS 7. It is also available for Mac, but on computers it has been used much less. The question is, will we miss the Game Center application?

The Game Center has always been a personal headache, because no matter how much the transfer closes, remove the pactions included there and deactivate the pop-up notices; somehow in most of the times that I run many applications, I have to put up with the pop-up notices of all the achievements. Personally, I don't see the use of Game Center

Hi Luis. If I'm not mistaken from what I've read, Game Center would no longer be able to send you those notifications, but games would. In theory, if you don't allow game notifications (which I don't do with any), you won't receive any notifications. As in any other application, and also if I'm not mistaken, you will see the notifications of a game when you enter it.

      A greeting.

It will be a headache for you, it works perfectly for me, it does not bother me at all and I have many friends, therefore I would not like it to disappear if I could handle it better as everything would get more out of them
