I know that you will not be few users who will think that it will not be necessary, but there are not few users who are in favor of being able to modify each and every one of the corners of an iPhone. I say this because a new tweak in Cydia that will allow you to use one of the latest features introduced by Samsung and that until now were only available in your Galaxy S7.
Thanks to the jailbreak we can change or add almost anything to our iOS device and the tweak that will make us use the sliding menus of the Galaxy S7 is called Edge. After installing the tweak we will have a new interface available, accessible from the edges (and hence the name of the tweak), with which we can access various shortcuts, recent applications and contacts. Each of Edge's pages can be configured to have recent apps just a flick away, run tasks, access favorite apps, or favorite contacts.
Edge adds shortcuts to iOS margins
Both the favorite and recent applications page allows us to take a look at an application without having to open it completely, something that remembers slightly al Peek & Pop of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but that is achieved by pressing twice on the desired icon instead of pressing harder. The tasks page also adapts to the applications that are installed and any other extensions that have been added.
On the other hand, we also have the page of people or "People Edge" that will allow us to send an email, make a call or send a message (iMessage or SMS) quickly to those with whom we maintain the most contact. It is also similar to what we see using Touch 3D about the Phone application, but more complete. In addition, we can also access them from any screen.
It is clear that Edge does not offer an experience like the one offered by the Galaxy S7 option, but having options is always a good thing.
