There are many applications that teach us how to do physical exercise in 7 minutes, Yes. The downside of all these applications is that we have to use them on an iPad or, worse, on an iPhone. If we want to see or hear what he has to say, we have to pay attention and listen carefully, or we have to learn the exercises before doing them. These problems would not exist if we did the exercises looking at the screen in our classroom. That is what allows us The 7 Minute TV Workout, the first application of its kind for the fourth generation Apple TV.

As we can read in the introduction of the application, the seven-minute workouts became famous thanks to a article published in New York Times describing a circuit that had in turn been published in the American College of Sports Medicine's Health & Fitness Journal. The circuit consists of 12 exercises of 30 seconds each and a 10-second rest between exercises. We have to do as many reps as we can in those 30 seconds. At first it will be only 7 minutes but, over time, it can be done several times, which will make the training can reach 21-28 minutes in total.

Exercises included in The 7 Minute TV Workout

  1. Jumping jacks.
  2. Squats on the wall.
  3. Push-ups
  4. ABS.
  5. Steps in chair.
  6. Squatting.
  7. Triceps chair dips.
  8. Plank (table).

While we are doing the exercises we will see an image like the previous one where we are shown an animation of how the exercise is done, the time we have left and the general progress bar to know how much we have left to finish. A voice-over will give us some encouragement, as well as what the countdown from the last three seconds. The narrator will also let us know what the next exercise is and the moments of rest.

At the end of the circuit, the day we are with will be automatically marked a blue dot, indicating that we have exercised for 7 minutes. If we want to continue, we just have to start over. When we finish, if we have done the circuit twice, we will see two points on the calendar day.

The 7 Minute TV Workout is available from the XNUMXth generation Apple TV App Store for a price of 1,99 €. At the moment it is only translated into English, but soon it will be into Spanish (translated by our colleague Ignacio), Russian and Polish. We will do a draw of 4 codes to be able to use them on your fourth generation Apple TV. At the moment, and after searching a lot, I have not found a way to redeem the code directly from the Apple TV, so it is best to use the code on an iPhone. It will give us an error when installing the application, but it will appear in "purchased" in the Apple TV App Store. I can't believe Apple didn't add an easier way to redeem a code on Apple TV, but okay.

It seems an interesting app, that of exercising for 7 minutes seems very in line with these rush times.
