Did you think that there were already keyboards for everything? Well, you were wrong. There are keyboards for everything, although personally I have to admit that none of them catches my eye (maybe Microsoft's Word Flow, but I haven't been able to test it yet). Nor can I say that Giphy's proposal catches my attention, a alternate keyboard that has been created with the intention of facilitating the task of sharing moving images and that comes with the name of Giphy keys.
The problem with this Giphy keyboard is that it is the most basic thing you can imagine. For not having, it has no autocorrect. In any case, I don't think writing is something the creators of this tool are concerned about. What they should be concerned about is its functionality, and it seems to me that it is not very comfortable to use. And worst of all, it is not compatible with widely used apps like Tweetbot. We don't even talk about WhatsApp anymore.
Giphy makes it easy for us to share GIFs
Before testing it, I figured that sending a GIF with this keyboard it would be as simple as sending a sticker in a messaging app. How wrong I was. What we have to do to send a GIF is to choose one of the available categories, touch on a GIF to copy it to clipboard, press for a second in a place where we can enter text to see the option to "Paste" and paste it. If this option does not appear in Tweetbot and WhatsApp is not compatible ... this keyboard is of little use to ME.
But not everything was going to be bad: if we tapped twice on a GIF, it would save it in favorites so we could use it later. This can come in handy to save our favorites and use them in conversations of compatible messaging applications (don't think about Telegram because it already has its own GIF search engine). Another positive point is its price, since Giphy Keys is for free. Have you tried it? How about?
