Google has updated its official Gmail client for iOS. There is still no evidence that the Sparrow team has participated in this version, although we will surely see their collaboration in a major update that could appear in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the new version of Gmail for iOS improves performance and saves images that are attached to the emails that they send us, to do this, we have to do a long press on it and the corresponding menu will appear to store it in the memory of the device.

Little by little, the client of Gmail for iOS is acquiring features that equate it to its competitors although there is still a long way to go. Hopefully the acquisition of Sparrow will speed up the process and that results in an application at the height of what Google usually does.

Since they released the update that makes it compatible with the notifications scepter, it eats up the battery in an impressive way to the point of having to deactivate them ... does the same thing happen to anyone?

Now that someone mentions it, I had that problem and I was suspicious of updating gmail, since when updating it the next day I felt poor battery performance, 4 hours or less it was discharged, to such an extent that I had to restore thinking that it was something of cydia.
