Many are the users who, because they make use of a Gmail account, are seen trapped within the Google ecosystem to carry out practically any activity, so when they need to make use of more free storage space, they end up hiring the space that Google Drive offers us.
The search giant just announced a series of changes to its cloud storage service, including a new family plan that can be shared with up to 5 members of the same family. This service, which will be renamed Google One, offers us two new plans. One of 200 GB for 2,99 euros per month and another of 2 TB for 9,99 euros.
So far, all users who had contracted 1 TB for 9,99 euros, will automatically become 2 TB, instead of having to pay for 19,99 euros, a price that until now was offered when hiring this storage space. The 1 TB plan will disappear, however, the available 30 TB plan will continue to be available for 300 euros per month. Regarding the free space that Gmail offers us when we create an account, this will continue to be 15 GB, being the largest storage space in the cloud that any service of this type currently offers us for free.
If we compare the new storage prices that Google will offer us, with those currently offered by Apple, we can see how the price of the 200 GB storage is 2,99 euros per month and the 2 TB is available for 9,99 euros per month. According to the search giant, these changes will begin to be activated in the first place in users residing in the United States, to begin to be available in the coming months in the rest of the countries where Google offers its services and where China is not. available, but in India, a market almost as big as the Chinese.
