Google Calendar is now compatible with the iPhone X and drag and drop

The guys from Google, from time to time they look a lot like Apple, when we talk about the time it takes to update their applications to implement the novelties of the operating systems to which they are directed. A clear example in Apple is found with the Final Cut Pro X application, an application that today still not updated to be compatible with macOS High Sierra.

Google has just launched a new update of its Google Calendar application to manage our calendar, an application that is finally fully compatible with iOS 11 and one of the novelties that it offers us in its operation on the iPad. I am talking about the drag and drop function, one of the main novelties of iOS 11 for this device.

Thanks to this new function, we can drag any document from a G Suite application, such as Google Docs to the field where we can add attachments in the events we create. It also allows us drag a text from Safari to the event description, without having to copy it and later paste it into the event we are creating, which considerably reduces the creation of appointments with extra information.

But the news related to Google Calendar does not end here, since they have taken advantage of the launch of compatibility with iOS 11 for adapt the user interface to the new screen format offered by the iPhone X, so that we can get the most out of the application without experiencing operating problems, either with the interface or with the application itself. Google has wanted to wait when updating this application to launch a joint one, solving both interface and compatibility problems with Apple's new operating system for mobile devices, which is already in version 11.
