Google Maps informs us of the time it will take to get home or to work

Google Maps iOS

Despite how well Apple is doing with its map service Apple Maps, the development and implementation of the new functions that it is adding it is being much slower than what users might expect. The 3D view or Flyover, allows us to visit a large number of cities around the world from a bird's eye view from our iPhone or Mac in a very simple way.

The public transport routes that Apple presented at the last WWDC where it presented iOS 9, are of immense use especially for all those people who do not have any means of transport and use public transport to move around the city, however its implementation is being much slower than users would expect.

This function is also ideal for all those people who have to visit the city but they don't want to use taxis to get to the places of interest. While Apple keeps pace, Google continues to add new features to its Google Maps mapping service. Currently Google offers us information about traffic through the application so that we can choose one way or another to get to our home or workplace.

In the latest update, the Mountain View-based company just added a new extension for the notification center that informs us the time it will take to get to our home or workplace that we have previously configured, of course. In this way we can assess whether it is convenient to leave at that time or if it is better to delay a few minutes to do so with little traffic.

In addition, this new update has also brought us the possibility of sharing the addresses that we consult in a much easier way with our contacts. It has also been added a night mode and the units of distance in navigation have been adjusted.
