I have to admit that one of the applications that I use the most on my iPhone is Google Photos, since it allows me save absolutely all my photos and videos in my Gmail account completely free of charge and without losing resolution along the way, since as we all know, our iPhone can take photos at 12 megapixels at most, a trend that seems to have become common after the launch of the Galaxy S7, which has gone from 16 to the Galaxy S6 at 12 megapixels.
The Google application has just received a new update, the truth is that the guys from Mountain View are really looking forward to it, adding support for Live Photos that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus can do. Those moving photos, which to this day I still don't see any real use, are also compatible with the Facebook application.
Another novelty that we find in this update is related to the iPad, and is that with this update we can finally make use of the Split View function, and use the split screen application together with another application, for example to take notes or data on a photo in question. In addition, with this update, Google Photos is compatible with the 12,9-inch screen of the iPad Pro.
In addition to the typical performance improvements, the application has improved navigation, something that I have to admit I did not like from the beginning. With this update, the Assistant, Photos and Albums options are located at the bottom of the screen, so they are faster to access. In the previous version, we had to display the side menu to be able to access, which forced us to make two keystrokes to access those options.
Fantastic app, should Apple learn from it
