The Google application has just received a new update, reaching version number 19, in which the guys from Mountain View have added a new incognito mode function, which allows searches through the application without leaving any trace on the searches that let's perform. Another of the new functions that Google has also implemented in this update is native playback of YouTube videos, in addition to improving compatibility with iOS 10 and improving performance, which claims that it has reduced unexpected application closures by 50%.
To be able to use incognito mode in the Google application, we must go to the application settings and click on activate incognito or if we use 3D Touch technology, we can access directly from the application icon. Like Chrome and the Allo application, when we use incognito mode, the background of the application will turn dark so that we know at all times that it is activated. Logically and by not tracking what we do with this application in incognito mode, the cards will not be shown when we use this new function.
To ensure that we can only access the results in incognito mode, we can use Touch ID to protect this access until we end the session in incognito mode. This option is available within the configuration options for this mode. YouTube video search results will play on the fly rather than opening a new tab or waiting for the YouTube app to open. The supposed incognito mode of most browsers has always been in question for the supposed functionality that it offers us, since they always store some type of information from the searches we do in this mode.
