Google's messaging application, Hangouts, has just received a new update confirming that the messaging application that will arrive in a few months and that Google I / O presented at the last I / O is not intended to replace the veteran Hangouts, now that it is has become an application widely used by users thanks to the versatility it offers us when it comes to broadcasting live through YouTube, making video podcasts, making group calls ... But it also allows us to make calls like Skype to any phone in the world, although this function is geographically limited to a few countries.
As I mentioned, Google has just updated this application again, adding the possibility of excluding users from groups, ideal for when we want to communicate something to a group of people but we don't want one or more people to know of the same group, something that should soon reach the most used instant messaging applications. Through this update, the problem when cropping images in a square shape has also been solved and the problems that occurred with files in static GIF format that we shared through the application.
Finally, the application also has increased the duration of the videos that we can send through this platform. In this way, the maximum length of the videos is two minutes. This function is still a bit fair compared to the options offered by Telegram with which we can send files without a time limit or Skype, which allows us to send files of up to 300 MB between users. This limitation, although it may seem a bit absurd, may be the only reason for many users to make use of it or not on a regular basis.
