Google Wallet is, in a way, a direct competitor to Passbook, Apple's native application that also allows us to store loyalty cards from companies like Starbucks. Well, now Google wants to make things easier for Google Wallet users and in the latest update of its application for iOS devices, version 2.0.13611, the company has added a scanner to the application that allows us to take a quick capture of our customer cards and store the information without us having to type it on the phone screen. A more convenient way to add cards to Google Wallet, without a doubt.
This option already appeared on Android devices a few weeks ago and a few hours ago it has seen the light in the Google Wallet app for iPhone, but this is not the only novelty that we find in the new version of the app.
Google has added a notification system that makes the application notify us every time we are near a business for which we have a customer card. Google Wallet will notify us, for example, when we are near a Wallmart to notify us of the offers and promotions that we can find as customers with a card.
Finally, in this version 2.0.13611, the performance of the application has been improved.
At the moment Google Wallet is only available in the United States App Store, since it is where the search tool operates. You can find Google Wallet for free in this App Store.
