Group FaceTime will remain disabled in iOS 12.1.3 and earlier

It has been Apple's problem in 2019, the Serious Group FaceTime privacy and security issue. A problem that allowed us listen to other people through the FaceTime app before they even accept our call. Something unacceptable that led the guys from Cupertino to stop the service for all users.

Apple has apologized, and acknowledged the user that they became aware of the Group FaceTime security issue, and are obviously working to fix it. The correction of the problem will come from the hand of a new update, and we can confirm that in versions prior to this new update Group FaceTime will remain disabled… After the jump we give you all the details of Apple's plans to fix the serious security problem of Group FaceTime.

As we tell you, Group FaceTime will remain disabled in iOS versions 12.1.3 and earlier definitively. If we want to enjoy this new FaceTime feature we will have toe update our devices to the next version of iOS that Apple launches during this next week, predictably the new iOS 12.1.4.

We have fixed the Group FaceTime security issue on Apple servers, we will release a software update to reactivate the new Group FaceTime for all users next week.

Besides all this, Group FaceTime will also have all security issues fixed in the next iOS 12.2 beta since this will be the next great operating system that we see on our mobile devices. We will see what all this is, hopefully Apple releases the new iOS 12.1.4 as soon as possible because this new FaceTime feature was very interesting and the truth is that it worked quite well. We will keep you informed, and we will notify you as soon as Apple releases iOS 12.1.4

and of course users will be forced yes or yes to update, instead of launching an update of the FaceTime application ... and users of previous versions, not updateable ...

Versions prior to iOS 12 do not have Group FaceTime, so this bug does not affect them and they do not need to update.
