The possibility of create groups of contacts and assign them an individualized ringtone to each one is something that incomprehensibly is not possible to do from our iPad or iPhone. As always, Cydia does offer that function, and one of the best applications I have tried to do this, GroupRinger, has just been updated and made compatible with the iPad. Obviously you will need to have the jailbreak done, something you can do easily thanks to Evasi0n, which is compatible with all versions of iOS 6, from 6.0 to 6.1.1 (specific to iPhone 4S).
GroupRinger allows you to manage your contact groups: create new groups and edit the ones you have already created. To add contacts to a group, click on the blue circle on the right and select the contacts you want to add. To create a new group, write it at the top. To delete a group, swipe over it. Once you have the groups created, adding a tone is as simple as choosing the group and the tone that you want to associate with it. You can modify the ringtones (FaceTime in the case of the iPad) and messages. You can also select if you want there to be vibration associated with the doorbell or not.
It is by no means the most attractive application you can find for iPad. It is the first version compatible with this device and it will surely improve in subsequent updates. It is one of the essentials for my iPhone that I can now use with the iPad, in which although it seems that it does not have much use, we must not forget that it does not have phone calls, but it does have FaceTime calls and messages using iMessage. One of the best ways to create groups and know who is calling you just by hearing the doorbell.
