How to fix iPod / iPhone 3g when it stays in Boot Logo

It is tested on iPod Touch and iPhone 3G .. if someone with iPhone 2G wants to try, they will be welcome

This is for those people who have their iPod / iPhone stuck in the boot logo and not progressing in any way. Don't think that the only option is to restore; this is the solution to not lose any data or any application.

Method 1

First you will have to have SSH installed

  1. Turn off the iPod / iPhone
  2. Connect iPod / iPhone to computer
  3. Turn on the iPod / iPhone
  4. Connect via iPhoneList / iPhoneBrowser or better yet DiskAid
  5. Go to "/ var / mobile /"
  6. Rename Applications to Applications2
  7. Wait 5 seconds and the «Springboard» will open
  8. Rename Applications (as was before)
  9. Turn the iPod / iPhone off and on

METHOD 2

Before starting:

  1. Make sure your device is NOT connected to the PC / MAC
  2. Make sure your iPod / iPhone is turned off (to turn OFF hold HOME and OFF buttons for 5 seconds)

PASO 1:
Turn on the iPod / iPhone and leave it ON for 15 minutes. You will see that a kind of «small boxes»Will appear in the« Boot Logo ». (in some boot logos the «small boxes")

PASO 2:
Turn off your iPod / iPhone

PASO 3:
Turn it on and just WHEN 5 seconds pass we connect it to the PC / MAC and the «SPRINGBOARD» will appear

METHOD 3

  1. Open DiskAid or iPhoneBrowser or another (not WinSCP since it is via WIFI)
  2. Go to the path / System / Library / SystemConfiguration /. There will be a folder called "Mobilewatchdog.bundles"
  3. Rename it, eliminating the extension ".bundles" and leaving it like this: "Mobilewatchdog".
  4. Wait for the device to restart.
  5. After it has been restarted we go back to this path / System / Library / SystemConfiguration / (the same as before) and to that folder that we eliminate the ".bundles" we put it back; that is, we put it as it was before.
  6. After that reboot and everything should be fixed.

Do not panic if you see that you are missing applications. In case you have this problem, sync with iTunes manually and all the applications will appear, since they have always been inside the iPhone but were not visible.

I'm in the oven… Realaize the three methods and it won't start. I decided to restore it but itunes does not recognize it. It only puts verifying and if I right-click the iPhone to restore from the backup, it blocks iTunes and the administrator puts me "not responding." I need a life preserver, please and thank you.

Hi everyone, I'm going to tell you about my problem:
as I had the iPod very full I decided to restore it, so I went to settings and gave the option to restore the iPod completely, not only the settings, but all the contents. He told me that it would take about an hour and as the process was being carried out a bar appeared under the apple logo, but after that only the apple logo appeared as if the ipod was turning on, but it does not, if not it stays in the logo.
If I connect it by cable, the computer does not recognize it either. What do I do?
I thank you for your help in advance.
