They manage to hack the Apple Watch to use custom dials

After hacking the Apple Watch to play a modified version of Flappy Bird on the smartwatch, among other things, Hamza Sood is back on the attack with a new hack with much more sense than playing the famous game on a screen so small that we either cover with our finger or put too much stress on the digital crown. On this occasion, what Sood has achieved is to use custom spheres, something that is not possible by default although it is something that many of us would like.

If we pay attention to the image that heads this article, we may think that it is nothing short of nonsense, but that is because the image is fixed. What Sood has achieved is to use animated custom spheres on the Apple Watch, as you can see in the video uploaded to Twitter. As you can see, the new spheres appear alongside the official native spheres.

This hack fuels the debate on whether it would be jailbreak required on Apple Watch. The jailbreak is usually important for two reasons: one is to use useful modifications not allowed by Apple and the other is that those in Cupertino can learn from the jailbreak community, adding options to their systems such as do not disturb or contact blocking.

Watch 2 It will arrive with many important new features, but the ability to create spheres will not be one of them, at least initially. The control that Apple wants to have in everything related to its devices will prevent the Watch Store from filling up with spheres from the beginning, something that can be very positive when there are many more applications, but at the moment it could give a bad image, especially if unattractive spheres are uploaded.

For all those developers who want to try this hack for the Apple Watch, Sood has uploaded the bar code a github.

Good morning Pablo Aparicio ... if you can help me ... but I have found the detail that the native application Salud in the last beta of ios 9 that I just updated on my iphone 6 plus (128g) ... does not appear ... and I ask you It helps because I have not heard news if it is a defect of ios 9 or is it that the Health application has been eliminated (which I do not think) ... Aparicio, what is the reality of this matter ... was it eliminated, or is it an update defect?

Hello, M marin. The application should continue to be available. You can try to force a restart (off button + start until you see the apple) or, if it doesn't work for you, restore. I have no record of cases like yours.

      A greeting.
