Hangouts is updated allowing one minute video messages to be sent

Hangouts

The market for messaging applications is beginning to be saturated, yet there are several applications that continue to update trying to add new functions to attract a greater number of users to their platform. For some time now, it seems that the big developers are focusing more on the rival ecosystem than on their own. We have clear examples with Microsoft that does not stop launching new applications for the iOS ecosystem and Android putting a little aside on its own. But not only Microsoft but it also seems that Google is starting to do so.

Google has just released version 8.0 of its Hangouts calling and messaging application adding the possibility of being able to send video messages up to a minute long, but only on Apple devices, so far this function has not arrived for the devices of its own ecosystem. Incidentally, it has solved the problem that many users had shown in which, despite having read the conversations, they continued to appear as unread, which led the users of this messaging service to misunderstand.

But Google has also taken the opportunity to offer Google for Work compatibility the application ecosystem created by Google and that is not only oriented to the business market, but we can also make use of it in the studies. Google is betting a lot lately on Chromebooks, very cheap devices managed by ChromeOS and that allow us to work and study directly using applications from the cloud, so that all our work or study is available from any device with internet access.

Although Hangouts is an application with similar functions to WhatsApp and Skype, Google continues to show that this type of application allows us to perform many more functions than those merely intended for communication.
