The HomePod does not seem to be able to exceed the sales of Amazon and Google speakers in the United States at the moment. This is what the latest report released by CIRP indicates. It is evident that Apple's speakers are selling very well and proof of this is what is shown in our country with good figures for these small speakers, but it seems that it did not quite catch on or it is also possible that it lost a lot of ground in front of the sales of Amazon and Google speakers that have been on the market for much longer with tighter prices.
The little HomePod has an interesting price and little by little it is making a dent in the market. CIRP data say that the US smart speaker market reached 126 million devices in June 2021, with Amazon being the vast majority of these speakers with 69% of sales among their Echo devices. For its part, Google achieves approximately 20% market share and finally adds the HomePod and mini.
According to the graph shown if we see a growth in the sales of these Apple speakers but it is still behind the rest. In this sense, CIRP places Apple speakers with a HomePod's market share below 10% in the United States. Surely in the near future these Apple sales figures will continue to grow.
