HomeRun, control HomeKit from your Apple Watch

Although we don't need any third-party app to control HomeKit, as the native Home app is available on all Apple platforms, there are third-party apps that go a bit further and offer us really interesting functions because they are more advanced or because they make things easier. HomeRun is one of them, and we explain how it works and what it is capable of doing.

HomeRun for HomeKit is available in the App Store for €3,49 (link) and I can assure you that if you are HomeKit users you will find it a more than deserved price, because the application is very useful for managing our environments. In the video I explain how it works and what it can do, but in summary mode I can tell you that what it does is collect the environments that we have created in our home application and creates shortcuts so that from our Apple Watch we can execute them using of complications, that is, with just a touch on the screen of our Apple Watch we can put the lights in "Cinema" mode or activate "Good night" and that all the lights turn off, without having to use Siri, without having to unlock our iPhone, without having to navigate through different menus of the Home application.

We can create as many shortcuts as we have environments, customize the buttons with icons to easily identify them, change the colors, the arrangement of the buttons ... many customization options so that, using the complications of our Apple Watch, we can activate environments. HomeRun gives us the option of using a generic complication, which opens the app to choose the environment we want, or It even allows us to set schedules so that the complication that appears is the environment we usually use at that time of day. In short, an app that any HomeKit user should try because it sure won't disappoint.
