iOS 6 is in beta and many of you will wonder how long versions usually last in that state. First of all, we must know what a beta is and it is nothing more than a phase that any software undergoes during its development.
In this period, software works but may be buggy (bugs) and being unstable. With each beta, the software improves, becomes more stable and finally reaches the RC (Release Candidate) state. That's when we are already in a version very close to those that ends up being released to the public.
We are still in the second beta of iOS 6 and we don't know how many more Apple will release. As we can see in the graph, in the case of iOS 5 there were a total of eight betas until its launch end in autumn.
