How to View Your Saved Passwords on iCloud Keychain with iOS 7

Keychain in iOS 7

The iOS 7 update has given us a very useful solution, the iCloud keychain. This wonder allows us to have centralized passwords, generate strong passwords and even autofill payment fields when storing your bank card details.

You can be an exception about this data being stored in iCloud, but they are on the network and at least Apple uses 256-bit AES encryption, which is military grade.

If you don't have it configured

After updating to iOS 7.0.3 or later, the IOS setup wizard will ask if you want to activate iCloud Keychain. If you have skipped this step and want to configure it now you just have to follow these steps:

For iOS 7.0.3 or later:

  • Go to Settings> iCloud and turn on the keychain.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.

For OS X v10.9 or later Mavericks:

  • Select Apple ()> System Preferences> iCloud.
  • Select keychain.
  • Optionally you can set a password to unlock the screen after going to sleep or after starting the screen saver.
  • Enter your Apple ID and password.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.

You may have gotten used, like the rest of us, to passwords being stored and remembered by the program and find yourself in trouble when you want to consult a password-protected page (a profile, bank page, access to an intranet, etc.) from other device and not remember the password, if at some point you learned it.

Follow these simple steps and you can check that password:

  • Open Settings> Safari> General> Passwords and autofill> Saved passwords
  • Enter your password (by default it is the terminal unlock password)
  • A list of logins appears, click on the one that interests you
  • Now you can see the credentials for that specific login.

Then I can save my card passwords in the cloud with military encryption, but if someone accesses my phone they have access to them. Is that so?
I ask it because if there is a Trojan on the mobile, it could also access it, right?

Trojan on an iPhone? That has never been seen on iOS friend. Remember that iOS is a serrated system, as long as you do not Jailbreak and install pirated applications, everything will be fine.

Where if I have my doubts is in Mavericks since it is not serrated like iOS and allows you to install crack applications from the internet. Hackers at Mavericks may be very interested in attacking, because they know that some users may already have credit card details. Maybe in iCloud it is encrypted, but on the internet pages where you pay the numbers do not appear with stars. Be careful, keep Safari, Mozilla, Chrome and any other browser that uses clean passwords and any other data. I know that many like the chuleria of entering and seeing the email account already open, or Facebook already open without putting passwords or anything. But the most advisable thing is to clean the data or the trace that we leave in our browsers. 😄

Thanks for answering. Anyway, I don't trust it. It's phone. company and I have AirWatch installed, for me, that is almost a Trojan 😉
        Better to remember important passwords.
