How to set up VoiceMail

When we acquire a new iPhone 3G by registering it with the company, it usually offers a Voice Mail service, which is found in the phone menu in the Voice Mail section. We know that there are many people who do not use the voice answering machine on their mobiles, but it never hurts to register the service in case we ever want to use it, since we are somehow paying for the service.

With VoiceMail you will be able to manage all the voice messages that are left on the answering machine in a simple and graphic way. You will no longer have to call the number assigned to your mailbox to listen to them. Here is a tutorial on how to configure it and put our own welcome message.

  1. Click on the phone menu, normally located in the bottom bar of our main screen
  2. In the new bar at the bottom, we go to the last icon on the right, which has a symbol of an audio tape
  3. Next, and if it is the first time you will get a welcome message with a blue button to start configuring it, we press it
  4. Now we will enter the password that we want for the Mailbox, it will ask you again to confirm it
  5. After this, it will give you to choose between the greetings that you want to put in the answering machine
  6. We will select between "By default", in which the typical message of each company will appear, or in "Custom", to put our own

If we choose custom, we will click "Record" to start recording the message. Once finished, click on save and the main VoiceMail screen will appear.

With this we already have our VoiceMail configured.

To remove the voicemail, press ## 002 # and call key. I have another question, the VoiceMail does not appear to me the voicemail appears like a lifetime and nothing else ... And the messages in it appear like an SMS telling me that he has called me I do not know who so I think that voicemail is not going ... what do I do?
