But… what if we have little space on our device and we don't want more multimedia content to be downloaded even if we download it to another iDevice? Disable automatic iOS downloads the easy way
As I was saying, what we are going to learn to do in this post is to disable automatic iOS downloads, that is, the automatic download of apps, updates and music that we do from another iDevice or a computer with iTunes.
Now you will wonder ... Why should I disable automatic downloads? Because even if you download an app on your iPhone, you don't want to have it on your iPad or iPod Touch, rather, each device has its applications. From there, you decide whether or not you want to deactivate or activate automatic downloads.
If we want to disable automatic downloads:
- We go to the Settings of our iPad and click on the menu where we see the App Store logo: "iTunes and App Store"
- Inside the menu, we will scroll until we reach the section: «Automatic downloads«, Where we will see three switches associated with three texts: Apps, Updates and Music. Depending on whether or not we want each of these elements to be downloaded to all our devices at the same time, we will turn the switches on or off.
If you are determined to eliminate automatic downloads, turns off all switches.
