How to Downgrade from iOS 8.1.3 to 8.1.2

Downgrade

Because iOS 8.1.3 closes the doors to Jailbreak, many people may want to go back and install iOS 8.1.2, which would not be possible if it weren't for Apple continues to sign iOS 8.1.2.

For all those who have updated your device and want downgrade, The process is very simple, and as it has been happening this last year, I doubt that Apple will stop signing iOS 8.1.2 until a Jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 is released (now is when saying this they go and close it: D) , perhaps because many of the new features between systems are ideas taken from the jailbreak community, or just a coincidence, who knows.

How to downgrade? Well, it's a piece of cake, to downgrade you must have the iOS 8.1.2 system in a ".ipsw" file, it can be obtained from your PC if iTunes has previously downloaded it (it is usually in the% Appdata path % / Local \ Apple \ Apple Software Update) or if you don't have it download it from the internet (on this website for example).

Once you have the file, just it will be necessary to put the iPhone in DFU mode (pressing both buttons «Home and Block» at the same time for 10 seconds and then release the lock button WITHOUT releasing the Home button, and leave the latter pressed for another 10 seconds), when the device is in DFU iTunes will warn that it has found an iPhone / iPod / iPad in recovery mode, at that moment you just have to press the key "SHIFT for Windows" o «OPTION for MAC» and the button RESTORE from iTunes and a window will appear where you must select the IPSW file that contains iOS 8.1.2, once selected iTunes will proceed to restore the device and install that version of the system.

Downgrade

Finally I would like to know how many people want to downgrade, to know the reception that iOS 8.1.3 has and how many people prefer to keep the Jailbreak.

🙂 Setoy with you, in what lately Apple is allowing you to decide if you stay in a version that has jailbreak .. Sell more devices .. One of the reasons for the triumph of iPhone 6 and 6+ is because they know that They buy a device which they can customize to their liking. Surely the percentage of sales and i6 and 6+ would not be the same if you know that you will not be able to personalize ... It is my opinion and I do not share it to create controversy, not misunderstandings .. It is my opinion.
There is no harm to Apple that does not come for good .. 😉

Hi, I need to tell you that I did all the steps and the moment my cell phone turned on, my screen started "shaking" and it messed up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THIS AT ALL! IT IS A SCAM AND IT DOES NOT WORK, THE ONLY THING IT DOES IS LOSE YOUR CELL PHONE, BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DO IT!

    1.    rafael ache said

Valentina you did something different because I have done these steps more than 5 times and my ipad air does not hurt

You have not warned that the iPhone data would be lost and therefore I have not made any backup and to top it off it does not give me the option to install version 8.1.2, or install 8.1.3 or nothing, congratulations

    Can you still downgrade?
