Surely many of our readers are experiencing problems in the case of having jailbreak with the latest version of iTunes, iTunes 12.1. The truth is that it is not something isolated but a general incompatibility that the application causes with TAIG. And as long as there is no official resolution, the best thing you can do to avoid further complications is downgrade from iTunes 12.1 to 12.0.1.

In the previous video you can see the steps you have to follow to make this downgrade from iTunes 12.1 to 12.0.1 and then we will explain them to you in writing for both operating systems; Windows and Mac. Do you want to know how to avoid current problems?

Downgrade from iTunes 12.1 to 12.0.1 on Windows

  1. Completely uninstall iTunes 12.1
  2. Change the extension in your iTunes library from the Library.itl file to Library.bak. You can find it in: C: \ Users \ [yourname] \ Music \ iTunes
  3. Restart your computer to continue with the process
  4. Install iTunes 12.0.1

Downgrade from iTunes 12.1 to 12.0.1 on Mac

  1. Download Pacifist from pacifist.com and install it.
  2. Remove iTunes and all traces using Activity Monitor.
  3. Download iTunes 12.0.1 for OS X, and mount the disc, but don't install it.
  4. Lance Pacifist
  5. Click Open Package and then select iTunes on the left side of the sidebar. Select Install iTunes and then open it.
  6. When everything loads, select Install from the top bar. Follow all the operations that appear on the screen until the installation begins.
  7. A warning will appear saying that the application already exists. Just check the button that says don't ask again, and then click replace.
  8. Wait until everything is ready and you will have iTunes 12.0.1 on your Mac OS X in a few seconds. Easy, right?

Have you had problems with iTunes version 12.1 when jailbroken from TAIG? Have you already thought about donwgrade iTunes or did you think it was a problem related to another application?
