We continue to look for all the possible utility to our Pebble, the fashionable smartwatch and at the moment, the only one that really has a catalog of applications and a community of developers that really predict a more than promising future for the smartwatch. Today we are going to show two possibilities for receive GPS navigation instructions directly on our Pebble, so as not to have to walk with our iPhone in hand. One of them is completely free, thanks to Google Maps. The other payment option, but for less than one euro, thanks to PebbGPS. We show you both so you can choose the one you like the most, or maybe use each one in different situations.
Google Maps offers a GPS navigation function that visually leaves much to be desired, but has the advantage of using the best maps application available for iOS and the one with the most information available. Taking advantage of the fact that it can send notifications to our iPhone every time there is a new instruction to receive, we can use our Pebble to be able to receive those notifications and see them without taking our iPhone out of your pocket. We set our route on Google Maps, locked the iPhone, and started walking. Every time we notice the vibration in our wrist, it will mean that we have received a new instruction to reach our destination. It is not a very sophisticated option but it is practical and free.

The other payment option is more sophisticated, and it is not too expensive either. In the App Store we find an application dedicated exclusively to our Pebble watch, called PebbGPS and which for € 0,89 offers us the possibility see a map on our smartwatch with the route that we must follow. The application for iOS offers us the possibility of establishing the route on our iPhone, and the map that we see on the screen of our device will be the one that we see on our watch. With different zoom options and the information of the street in which we are in the lower part, it is ideal to use it as a street traveler with our iPhone stored in our pocket or backpack.
