Do you have apps or shortcuts that you don't want anyone to see? I am more in favor of not letting anyone touch my iPhone but, if you are different from me and have some applications that you do not want anyone to know you have, you can hide them in an invisible folder, and best of all, it is not necessary that your iPhone, iPod or iPad has jailbroken. You have to sacrifice a bit of aesthetics by changing the wallpaper, but it can't be everything. Next we show you how to create this invisible folder.
How to hide apps in an invisible folder
This trick comes to us from Gadget Hacks and you can see the result in the following video. After the video you have the steps to follow.
We change the wallpaper
The first thing we have to do is use a wallpaper in which the folder cannot be distinguished. The background to change is just the one on the home screen, so we can leave the image we want on the lock screen. We will use one of the following funds:
- White background.
- Gray background.
Next, we go to Settings / Wallpaper / Select another background, we go to the Reel and select one of the two that we had downloaded.
We change transparency
The next thing we have to do is go to Settings / General / Accessibility / Increase contrast. If we are using the gray background, we have to reduce the transparency. If we use the white background, we just have to deactivate the option.
We create an invisible icon
[appext 749073889]To create an invisible icon we will need the Free Icons App application that you can get from the previous link. To create the invisible icon we will do the following:
- We tap on Create icon.
- We tap on Go to link.
- We select the Photo option.
- We chose the background that we had set as the background of the home screen and click on Use.
- At the top it will ask us to put a URL; we touch the space bar.
- We tap on Install and then again on Install.
- The application will send us to Safari. We just have to add the link to the home screen.
- We name the link with a point and click on Add. We will have an invisible icon on the home screen.
We name the folder with an empty name.
To delete the name of a folder, just let's copy the empty space what is between these brackets [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] and paste them when naming the folder.
Create the invisible folder
The last thing we have to do is put the link that we have created on the home screen in the folder that we have created. In the first page Folder it only has to be the invisible icon and everything we want to hide we will put from the second page.
