Following the release of the second Beta of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and macOS Big Sur, Apple has decided to launch the first public Beta of these systems. This version can be installed without being a developer, and we explain how to do it step by step.
If you want to try all the news of iOS 14, iPadOS 14 or any of the other systems that Apple introduced us a few weeks ago and that will not officially arrive until this fall, now you can do it completely free of charge and without having to download profiles from unreliable places. Apple offers a Public Beta program, which is slower than developers, and is accessible to anyone with a compatible Apple device.
iOS 14 and iPadOS 14
If you want to participate in this Public Beta program you must click on this link to the official Apple site. If you are already a registered user from previous years, click on «Sign In», and if you are completely new, click on «Sign Up». Once you have filled in your account information and accepted the agreement with Apple, you must navigate from the device on which you want to install the Beta a this link. Remember, you must do it from the device on which you want to install the Beta. You may be asked for your Apple username and password again. Now it's just a matter of installing the Public Beta Profile on your device by clicking on "Download Profile" and following the installation steps, after which you will need to restart. Once this is done, the Public Beta should appear within the System Settings.
macOS 11 BigSur
If you want to install the macOS Beta, the procedure is somewhat different. Instead of downloading a profile and installing it on your Mac, you must download an application through this link. Once installed, the update to macOS Big Sur will appear in the system settings. If your Mac is already enrolled in the Public Beta program, you will not need to follow these steps, the update will simply appear. At the moment, the macOS Big Sur Public BEta is not available, but it is expected to come out in the next few days.
Watch 7
The procedure will be similar to that of the iPhone, but watchOS 7 Public Beta is not yet available. It will be the first time that the Apple Watch enters this Public Beta program, but we will have to wait a little longer. Keep in mind that you must have your iPhone on iOS 14 as well, so if you want to try watchOS 7 you can install iOS 14 first.
