Surely more than one of our readers like both movies and television series in general and surely you will also have knowledge of the Popcorn Time application, available for Android, Windows and Mac that allows us to watch movies, both new releases and "old", and television series in streaming, Netflix style but for free whenever we want.
Popcorn Time works using the torrents that circulate on the internet without downloading them to our computer or device, via streaming. This service was born in Argentina and before the avalanche of complaints they received they decided to cancel the service, because they knew it was a losing battle. Other developers were in charge of continuing with the project and thanks to this, we can enjoy countless movies on our iPhone / iPad without having to download them.
Although it has been a long time to arrive, at the end of August the developers announced that in a few days we could download the application, it is finally available, but only for devices that have Jailbroken. Being content protected by copyright, the developers have not bothered to try to pass Apple's filters so that all users could enjoy this application from the App Store. At the moment the AirPlay option is not available, but the developers say they are working to implement it in future versions.
Install Popcorn Time on iPad
- First of all we must open the alternative application store Cydia.
- Now we head up Fonts, click on Edit and then in Add.
- Now we have to add the repository http://cydia.time4popcorn.eu
- Once we have added it, we go to the Search option and enter “Popcorn time”.
- We install it and go.
Now we just have to run the application to be able to enjoy a fairly wide catalog of movies and series. Most movies are in English, but have subtitles in Spanish.
