Most of us, as a general rule, are very jealous of our privacy, or at least it should be, although if we visit social networks we can observe that it is not the case in some cases. But when we talk about our location, things can change. On Facebook and Twitter we can publish images with our location at any given time, if the location may be relevant to our audience.
The location on iOS-based devices is very useful in the event that we cannot find our device either because we have lost it or because it has been stolen. In both cases we can make use of the iCloud service, to find the location of our device or the last location our device transmitted before it turned off or ran out of battery.
But we can not only use it for that. Within the iOS configuration (as long as we have several devices) we can modify the location we want to share. To give an example so that you understand: I find myself with my iPhone at a soccer game but I have told my wife that I am in the office. To confirm I can send you the location where I am, but in this case I would use the location of the iPad to share it.
Share location on iOS
- We head up Settings.
- Within Settings click on Privacy , located at the end of the third option block.
- Now we click on the first available option Location. In order to carry out this process it is necessary that we have it activated.
- In the next menu click on Share my location and then in From.
- The next screen will show all the mobile devices that we have associated with our Apple account. We just have to select the device from which we want to send the location where we are, as long as it is not next to us, otherwise it does not make sense to perform this action.
The possibility of sharing our location (once we have changed it) is only possible with the application Messages and Find My Friends.
