The iPhone 4 will be declared obsolete on October 31

Obsolete iPhone 4

Although I am now a satisfied user of Apple's smartphone, I have to admit that this was not always the case. Although I always recognized that the iPhone software was superior, until 2009 I preferred to use a terminal with a 5Mpx camera with flash, which recorded quality videos and had 32GB of storage. As a Mac user, I always knew that I would end up with an iPhone and the Apple phone that really caught my attention was already the iPhone 4.

I have told you a little about the above to confirm what was said about the best phone of 2010, an award that it got even when it came with the antennagate problem. 2010 was the time of the iPhone 4, a phone that, According to MacOtakara, will be declared obsolete as of October 31 of 2016 along with other devices on the block.

The iPhone 4, the best phone of 2010 will be declared Vintage

The list of devices that will be declared obsolete as of October 31 is completed by:

  • Late 13 2010-inch MacBook Air.
  • The third generation of the AirPort Extreme.
  • AirPort Time Capsule from mid-2009.

The fact that Apple labels these devices "Vintage" or obsolete means that they will no longer be repaired in their stores with few exceptions. To be more exact, those from Cupertino say they are Vintage devices that have not been manufactured for more than 5 years but less than 7 and Obsolete are those that were discontinued more than seven years ago.

The iPhone 4 was a very well received device and there are still many units in the hands of its happy owners, especially in emerging countries that cannot afford everything that the latest models cost. Some of us thought that it would have been better if it stopped updating in iOS 6.x due to its greater fluidity and performance, but got to be updated to iOS 7, which gave it more than 4 years of official support.

Do you have an iPhone 4 and this news has taken you by surprise?

For me, the best design that Apple made, that if it was a classy phone, not like now that they all look the same. And what should have died in iOS6 I think not, I would have stopped updating it in iOS5 and when it worked best was with the 4 that is for which it was designed

I had an iPhone 4 and it is by far the
Best terminal that Apple has made. But for me it has a big blemish: iOS 7. I was one of the owners who updated it and it was the most horrible thing I can remember on an Apple device. iOS 6 was magic, it should have stayed in that version since Apple did not do a good job, I suspect on purpose. iOS 6 on an iPhone 4 is the best thing I've ever seen. A great terminal. Best Apple

Curious that they only classify the 2010-inch late 13 MBA as obsolete and not the 11-inch one….

I have my iPhone 4 with 5.1.1 and it is fine as a cucumber, a pity that it does not have WhatsApp or many other applications but it is the industry if they did not cover it they would not sell the new ones.
