iCloud for Windows adds a new function to manage passwords

The guys from Cupertino have launched a new update of the iCloud application available in the Microsoft Store, whose main novelty is found in a new function for manage passwords stored in Apple Keychain and to which all users have access from their iPhone and Mac.

This new password manager application allows users to access and manage their iCloud passwords from Windows. In this way, we can add, edit, copy, paste, delete or search for any username or password stored in the iCloud keychain in a much more convenient way than from an iPhone or iPad.

In the details of this update, we can read:

  • View and manage your saved passwords on your Windows PC with the new iCloud Passwords app
  • Synchronize your passwords on all devices and on the PC in Edge using the iCloud Passwords extension

Once we have installed the update, in order to access the passwords, we must confirm device by entering the code that Apple sends to our device to confirm that we are the legitimate owners of the account.

Thanks to the iCloud app, users can also keep your photos up-to-date on all your Windows-managed computers, create albums to share, invite users to add their photos, videos and comments ...

Until now, the only way to be able to access passwords stored in iCloud was via an extension for Chrome that Apple launched just over a year ago, an extension that forced users to use a Chromiun-based browser like Chrome and Edge on others.

If you would like to download this new version of iCloud for Windows, you can do it directly from the following link to the Microsoft Store.
