If you have bought an Apple TV 4, you will have to buy a USB-C cable

From time to time, Apple makes some moves that we don't quite understand. The last one is related to its new set-top box and is that, as you can see in the image above these lines, the XNUMXth generation Apple TV includes a USB-C port. This is not strange at all, on the contrary. USB-C will be the standard port of the near future and it should come as no surprise that a device launching these days includes it. What is not understood is that, when we do in unboxing, we can't find any USB-C cables nor any adapter. We only found a Lightning cable that, after thinking for a while, is there to charge the Siri Remote.

The USB-C port of the Apple TV 4 can be there without being used from the moment we bought the device until we renew it. But this is unlikely. tvOS is an operating system and, like all operating systems, we will probably want to restore with iTunes in the future and this is when we run into the problem: we must buy a USB-C cable to connect Apple TV to your computer.

But the USB-C cable is not needed just to connect the ATV4 to iTunes. We will also need to use the new port to do screenshots or record video, something that will come especially well to record Gameplays. Applications will probably appear to play videos, such as VLC, and to be able to transfer the movies to the ATV4 we will need the USB-C cable, at least the first time to tell it to connect via Wi-Fi (although this I do not know, but it can be with iPhone).

In the online Apple Store there is a USB-C cable for €19,95, but on Amazon we have one for € 8,99, cable that I have already requested. If you plan to restore, capture or transfer files to your new fourth generation Apple TV, you will have to buy the cable that Apple has "forgotten".

Well, you could bring a cable with the purchase, which have less details than the dashboard of a Seat Panda, I say!

Well, the truth is that if they could have included it for that price, I was thinking of getting the 64gb for what could happen with the capacity and although I have the TV3 I only see the difference in the app store that for now a little poor but that little soon the developers will get on the bandwagon, which I am afraid that in order to have the applications that we like again we will have to go through the checkout again.

Hi jimmy. The purchased apps will be on tvOS if you want the developers. I have Geometry Wars 3 on Apple TV because I bought it on the iPhone, for example. They just have to make them universal.

      A greeting.

And the hard drives that come without the sata cable ?. And the monitors that come without the HDMI cable ?. Welcome to the real world. Oh, and the wise men are parents! Sorry, someone had to tell you.
